My husband and I decided to build a house together in 2005. We were talking the other day about how we kind of did it on a whim. Without thinking it through. It worked out great. We did most of it on our own. With help of family here and there. We were warned that 1 in 3 couples that build a house end in divorce. Building only made our relationship stronger. It took us almost year start to (almost) finish. We decided to wait to build the porch and paint it until we had the money. Well 7 years later....
Its getting there!!!
I bought the roofing today. Tried to haul it up my self but then I realized I was being overly ambitious. Waiting for the husband to come home and help me with that.
I took a drive into town (for us it is a 40 mile one way trip to go to stores like Wal-Mart, Lowe's, the Mall). I took along with me my 14 year old , Hannah and her friend since birth, Emily. They keep me laughing. Making silly faces with Emily's phone and distorting them is their favorite past time.
Love those girls.
